below "table 3" you say "If we can make setting the TCP MSS at 1220 a common practice"
I tried that on my yeti-ns.datev.net. (running nsd-4.1.14)
As far as I saw with tcpdump the server now answer with MSS 1220
The only setting I added was:
server:
tcp-mss: 1220
to force also outgoing connections use the lowered mss value I also added "outgoing-tcp-mss: 1220"
But that should only be relevant if NSD is fetching zone data from BII, WIDE or TIFS root-servers...
