In my opinion, it is unrelated. Yeti committed itself to serve an
unmodified root zone file and this ICANN project requires adding many
TLDs to test the effect on the root.

Also, scientifically speaking, this project seems uninteresting: we
already know that it is possible to load and serve domains which are
*much* larger than the current root. It's just one more example of
ICANN making a lot of fuss out of a small issue.
